Where are we heading to?

 

If you’re like me you would be asking the same question with despair, where are we heading to? I’m just a face in the crowd, a tiny particle, unseen in most instances, but I see a lot around me, it scares me, it haunts me, I’m worried, I’m terrified, all the non-commendable feelings that no one wants to feel. Perspiration anxiety is part of our life. Let’s look for instance the current horrendous human rights violations in Iran. Woman, Life, Freedom – it is a fight that we are all fighting…for generations. Their supreme leader, is like a controlling, sadistic, narcissist, un-modern, egoistic, who is the perpetrator for full blown domestic abuse of all the women, men, children in Iran. No one is spared, be it a singer, a teacher, a journalist….you speak against him, you dig your own grave. It’s more like a horror movie twist we never thought would ever be real. But it is real folks, and it is worse than horror.

In all of this, we see the strength in women, and the men and children that supported their freedom. They get beaten, they rise up again, they lose their loved ones, their children, their future generation who are fighting for a better future, for freedom of all forms, fighting for the right to their own lives, to live as they see fit, to laugh, to cry, to fall in love, or even the least thing we take for granted, to hold hands. 

I and the millions of ordinary women and men around the world, we are helpless, we are not armed, we barely managed to get over our own day to day crisis, but our hearts bleed and cry for the atrocities that the Iranian people are facing at this very moment. What can we do? Yes we can do something, we can be their voice, we can spread the word, we can give our moral support, because that is all they ask from us…..humanity, compassion, empathy, kindness and love for our womankind and mankind. This world needs to stop the fighting and start living. Have they forgotten that death is part of our last chapter in our book of life? Do they think that by being powerful, they will be spared death? Something that the powerful hand needs to know that, they are human just like you and me.
